Wu Jingui, the former Shanghai Shenhua footballer and one of China's most respected players, has passed away. He was known for his talent as well as his dedication to the sport.
Born in 1985, Wu Jingui started playing football at the age of seven. He played for several local clubs before moving to Shenhua in 2004. He quickly made a name for himself and became one of the top goalkeepers in Chinese football.
In 2006, Wu joined Shanghai Shenhua and quickly established himself as one of the team's leading goalscorers. He scored over 200 goals for the club during his time with the club, making him one of the most successful goalkeepers in Chinese football history.
